MSM Christmas Party

This year’s Christmas Party will contain a portion of putting together hampers, boxes, and tree cutouts of essential items for two abused women and children’s shelters in our local community.


The cost per registrant is $15 (all proceeds will go to purchasing items for these shelters).


In addition to this cost, we’d also like to kindly request, if possible, that each family bring items from 3 of the select categories. E.g. If you select bathroom, bedroom and non-perishable categories then please bring 1 bathroom item, 1 bedroom item and 3 non-persihable items.

Bathroom items (1 item from this category):
Toothbrushes box, bath towels, bath mats, hand towels, women/children’s appropriate soap (a few bars), women/children’s appropriate deodorant (2), hair brushes, small mirrors, hair ties, nail files, nail polish set

Bedroom Items (1 item from this category):
Bed sheets, linens, pillow-cases, throw pillows, comfort items, make-up items, carpets, storage solutions

Toy items (2 items from this category):
Toys appropriate for children between 1 and 10…e.g. toy cars, dolls, balls, action figures, pokemon cards and the like

Non-perishable foods/items (3 items from this category):
Rice, soups, honey, canned foods, cake mixes, Kraft Dinner, Cake Mixes, Icing, Spices – Assorted (not salt or pepper), Mayonnaise, Canned fruit, Pasta Sauce, Canned beans – kidney, black, pinto, white kidney (not chickpeas), Gound coffee/Instant Coffee (Regular), Juice boxes pack, School Snacks (granola bars, bear paws, rice Krispie squares, goldfish, puddings, apple sauce, fruit cups), Microwave popcorn, Kraft Dinner, Herbal Teas, Cooking Oil, Sugar, Assorted Crackers, Pancake Mix, Syrup, Dry Cereal – Cheerios, Rice Krispies, Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes (not oatmeal or oats), Ziploc Bags, Dish Soap, Toilet Paper.

Gift Cards (1 item from this category):
Nofrills, Dollarama, Home Sense, Walmart, Canadian Tire, Giant Tiger, FreshCo, etc – “Consider gift cards to local grocery and chain stores that sell a wide variety of items that our families may need to help get them on their feet after leaving the shelter.”


We understand that this is an extra cost for your family this Christmas which is why it is merely a “request”. Whatever you are able to give, no matter how small, will go a long way! Our goal with this event is to teach the children that because God has given us so much, we ought to be generous with our giving.
